Rabbi Dr. Margot B. Valles (Rabbi GoGo) is the founding director of the Shtibl. She received rabbinic ordination on December 3, 2023 from the Pluralistic Rabbinical Seminary. She holds a PhD from Indiana University-Bloomington where she studied Comparative Literature and Jewish Studies. She is the Director of Congregational Lifelong Learning at Shaarey Zedek in East Lansing.

She says, "Our shtibl is your shtibl! Let's Jew it together!" She wants everyone to find as much meaning in Judaism as she does, to feel connected with the tradition and the future of Judaism, and to know that there is a place for you in the Jewish world, no matter what.
